A Catholic school principal and part-time police officer quit his two jobs after being arrested at a strip on a school field trip.

On Friday, after his 7th and 8th-grade students were tucked into their Washington, D.C. hotel rooms for the evening, Holy Family School principal Michael Stephen Comeau, 47, visited Archibald's Gentlemen's Club.

According to a Metropolitan Police report sent to Yahoo Lifestyle, the Port Allen, Louisiana principal got drunk and refused to pay his bill, grabbing a responding officer by the shirt. Comeau also refused to “move out of the roadway” outside and was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

No one from the school and the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge could be reached for comment. Comeau allegedly had a service dog with him at the strip club, reported WAFB9, although Yahoo Lifestyle was unable to confirm that with police.

Diocese spokesperson Dan Borné told USA Today, “The Diocese of Baton Rouge confirmed today that Michael Comeau, principal at Holy Family School in Port Allen, was arrested on May 30 while on a school-sponsored trip to Washington, DC. The incident occurred when the students on the trip were in their hotel rooms for the evening under the supervision of other chaperones. Mr. Comeau had been principal of Holy Family School for five years and prior to that time had served in public education in the surrounding area. Mr. Comeau has submitted his resignation as principal and an interim principal will be appointed."

According to WAFB9, Comeau also resigned via text message from his part-time job as an auxiliary officer with the Brusly Police Department. Yahoo Lifestyle could not immediately reach anyone at the department for comment.
