MENASHA - Print and design your own custom creations at Menasha's one-of-a-kind 3D printing art studio.

Catch Fire Creations LLC, 230 Main St., gives customers the chance to 3D print their own designs, or choose from a catalogue of premade items, and paint and design them in the studio.

"Everything in our shop is 3D printed and then we put a primer on it so that people can come in and paint and decorate," said co-owner Missy Jensen. "We use normal acrylic paint and we have all sorts of extras like beads, gems, ribbons and rocks."

Jensen and her husband got the inspiration to open Catch Fire Creations from a combination of both of their hobbies.

"He got me into 3D printing and when he did that I recognized right away that it would be fun to paint," Jensen said. "I've been into arts and crafts forever, so its just a fun combination of what he likes and what I like."

When visiting the 3D art studio, customers can find pre-printed items including animals, cars, airplanes, magic wands, figurines, creatures and more.

For customers who have a more specific print in mind, Catch Fire Creations gives its customers the chance to print their own designs by renting one of the 3D printers.

"Someone can bring us a file and we will slice it for them and give them a price so they can come in and paint something specific to what they like instead of choosing something off our shelf," Jensen said.

In 3D printing, slicing means to use computer software to convert a 3D model into instructions for the printer.

Jensen said custom prints are ready in about a week.

Catch Fire Creations had its grand opening in December 2023 and Jensen said customer feedback has been amazing so far.

"The thing that people tell us the most is how affordable it is," Jensen said. "Also that they love the fact that you get to take it home the same day and its less fragile than, let's say, ceramics."

Customers can view and purchase some of Catch Fire Creation's catalogue online at catchfirecreationsllc.com. Stay up to date on the studio's pop-up projects and events on its Facebook page.
