Priscilla Presley, 78, Lights Up the Room in Sparkly Silver Gown
Priscilla Presley
Priscilla Presley looked absolutely radiant during her latest public appearance.
The 78-year-old stepped out in Austria on Thursday, Feb. 8, to attend the 66th Vienna Opera Ball as the guest of honor. For the special event, she rocked a sparkly silver sequined floor-length gown that featured wide sleeves, a fitted skirt and an oversized black velvet bow draping from her neck to her waist.
As for her accessories, she toted a black and silver clutch in her hand and paired the look with a few simple pieces of silver jewelry. Her glam was just as eye-catching as she styled her red hair in a chic low bun and sported a smokey eye and bold berry lip color.
Photographed with the actress and ex-wife of late singer Elvis Presley was the host of the prestigious event and Austrian entrepreneur Richard Lugner. For his part, Lugner sported a black tux and top hat, which he paired with a white dress shirt, a matching vest and a white bowtie.
The European event takes place every year on the Thursday before Ash Wednesday, and it invites prestigious members of Austrian society and other high-ranking officials from across the globe to the capital city for the opulent musical celebration.
The traditional debutante ball–a highlight of carnival season–has been around since the early 1800s, and in the 200+ years since the soiree, it has only been canceled three times. The first cancelation happened in 1991, during the Gulf War, and the second two in 2021 and 2022 respectively, because of the coronavirus pandemic.
