Priyanka Chopra wears bathing suit, shows off abs in latest photo shoot
Priyanka Chopra Jonas is on the cover of Elle UK's March 2021 issue wearing a one-piece bathing suit and a trench coat. In the photo shoot, the 38-year-old also poses in a bra and high-waisted underwear set with lace-up knee-high boots, giving off major boxer vibes.
Images from the spread were posted to her Instagram — where she has more than 60 million followers — and fans showered the actress, who currently stars in the Netflix movie The White Tiger (which she executive-produced), with praise.
While the pictures are gorgeous, the accompanying feature's a must-read. In it, Priyanka shares that she and her husband Nick Jonas, who recently celebrated their two-year wedding anniversary, make time for each other as a rule.
"We see each other every three weeks," she told the publication for its March 2021 cover story. "Wherever we are in the world, we fly to each other at least once a month for a couple of days. It was our rule when we first got married. Otherwise, we’d never see each other."
She even explained that it takes a group effort of their two camps coming together and planning these meet-ups around their existing commitments. "Our teams also had to get married!" she joked. "They have to talk to each other like, 'I am scheduling her here. No, we can’t do it ... This is when we’re free ... We have to move this.' It’s like a big marriage. It’s not just us but our families and teams, too."
Admittedly, the cooperation from all parties had to come together quite quickly since the two had only officially dated for two months before Nick proposed in July 2018.
"I didn’t expect the proposal at that point... It was two months!" she said. "I thought it would happen, but it was still a complete shock. [But] I relinquished control and I just went with it. We were just sporadically meeting for about two years. We were texting and stuff, and there may have been a part of me that wanted something serious. But I was taking a hiatus from guys at that point. I didn’t want anyone romantically."
She continued, "There’s always been something about Nick, which is why we always ended up staying in touch, no matter where we were. One thing to know about my husband is that when he makes up his mind, he’ll get what he wants! When he knows, he knows. There’s such a sublime confidence to it that you can’t help but be like, 'OK.'"
Priyanka even pointed to a tattoo just behind her ear that illustrates a box and a tick, representing what Nick had said when they first got engaged about Priyanka checking all of his boxes. Fortunately, Nick checked all of the boxes for Priyanka too, as well as those of her family and fans in her native India.
"India loves Nick and Nick loves India," she said. "He’s called 'national jiju,' which means brother-in-law. And before he goes onstage he listens to Bollywood music. It’s his hype music!"
