Publix Is Closing All Stores for Easter 2022

Publix is a popular grocery chain for good reason. Not only are stores kept super clean and well organized, but they also have everything you need in a pinch. From drinks and food to decorations and flowers, Publix is the definition of a one-stop shop. So it's no surprise that when major holidays come around, shoppers are always inclined to head to their local store versus going anywhere else. And while you can normally count on this Southern grocery chain to satisfy your cravings, they are sticking to tradition this year by closing all stores on Easter Sunday (which falls on April 17, 2022).

Most Publix stores are open on the days leading up to Easter from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. So, if you need to pick up all the fixins' for your Easter dinner or simply need to restock your pantry for the week ahead, you can do so during those times. Of course, hours vary depending on location, so it's best to call ahead or check store hours on the website.

Come Sunday, if your pantry is running low and you need a holiday feast fit for your family, opt for Easter dinner delivery or to-go meals from restaurants like Cracker Barrel and Boston Market instead. There are also a bunch of other supermarket chains and stores open on Easter Sunday to help you out in a pinch.
