Pulled pork, salads and mac and cheese: Get ready to 'Pig Out' in Zeeland

ZEELAND — A day of festivities, fun and food will support firefighting operations in Zeeland next week.

The 32nd Annual Zeeland Fire Rescue "Pig Out" will run 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at Lawrence Street Park, 100 W. Lawrence Ave.

The event is catered by Beechwood Grill. Food options include slow roasted pulled pork, two salad selections and a roll. There will be hot dogs and macaroni and cheese for children; pop, coffee and water to drink; and ice cream for dessert.

Activities and games will be available throughout the event. Live music will run 4-7 p.m. with The Niche playing a variety of classic rock hits.

The event serves as a community gathering and fundraiser. All profits are used to cover the cost of Zeeland Fire Rescue’s education programs and activities.

Adult tickets — ages 13 and older — are $12 when purchased in advance or $13 day-of. Tickets for children 12 and under are $6, regardless of when they're purchased.

Advance tickets are available at Don’s Flowers, Zeeland Public Safety, Zeeland City Hall, Zeeland Ace Hardware or from any Zeeland Fire Rescue member.
