Pumpkin Spice Spiked Seltzer Exists, and It's Destined to Be the Drink of Fall
There was no national shortage this year, so White Claw remained the MVP of summer. The cult-favorite earned that honor for the second year in a row after releasing three exciting new seasonal flavors: lemon, tangerine, and mango. Alas, it's inevitable that yet another #WhiteClawSummer for the record books is slowly fading into the distance as Halloween candy and PSLs start popping up.
Last year, there was a glimmer of hope of summer magic extending into a #WhiteClawFall when Photoshopped images of Pumpkin Spice White Claw started surfacing on the interwebs. While that remains fake news, we can finally confirm that pumpkin-spiced spiked seltzer is indeed a real thing, and it's hitting stores next month thanks to a competitor: VIVE. CEO of Braxton Brewing Company Jake Rouse included a self-deprecating statement when he made the big reveal: "VIVE Pumpkin Spice is likely going to be laughed at initially, but when you try it, you'll quickly understand why we're thrilled to launch!"
Jake, we aren't laughing! We're literally standing on our feet clapping! The new beverage promises to deliver "an aroma and taste known to the pumpkin spice lover," which will keep you "coming back for more. " Like White Claw, the 10-oz. cans have a five percent ABV. You can snag a six-pack starting next month for the suggested retail price of $9.99.
For those of you who thought this day would never come or that this announcement was too good to be true, there's one small catch. Unlike White Claw, you can't pick these up at Trader Joe's just yet. At launch, you'll only be able to snag a six-pack of these beauties on store shelves at Krogers in Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee. So...who wants to carpool?!
