Earlier this week, Prince Philip was hospitalized as a precautionary measure. Buckingham Palace revealed that Philip's hospital stay was for a "pre-existing condition," with the Duke of Edinburgh traveling from Norfolk to London for a couple of days.
As Philip was admitted to hospital, Queen Elizabeth made her way to Sandringham, ahead of the royal Christmas festivities that are due to start imminently. As Philip's hospital trip is purely a precaution, hopefully the duke will soon rejoin the queen in Norfolk for the holiday.
Prince Edward and Countess Sophie kept the queen company as she attended church this morning. Queen Elizabeth opted for a stunning green ensemble, suitably festive for the pre-Christmas weekend. She wore a matching Christmas tree-green hat, and a sparkling emerald brooch.
Upon arrival at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk, Prince Edward was seen at the royal car, along with his wife, Sophie Countess of Wessex, who looked stunning in burgundy culottes.
It's thought that Kate Middleton and Prince William will join the queen in Sandringham for Christmas, along with their three children. Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are spending the festive season in Canada, with their baby son Archie, and Meghan's mom, Doria Ragland.
