Queen gifted Meghan Markle pearl earrings
To celebrate the Queen and Duchess of Sussex's debut royal engagement together in Cheshire, Her Majesty gave Meghan a touching gift.
Ahead of their regal road trip on Thursday, her new granddaughter-in-law reportedly received a pair of pearl earrings.
The sparkly jewels were originally attributed to Canadian jewellery label, Birks, which is a firm favourite of the former actress.

Yet upon further inspection, it appears that the earrings carry greater sentimental significance. As the first gift Meghan has ever received from the Queen, the pearl studs further cement the 36-year-old's status as a member of the royal family.
It's not the first time the newly-crowned Duchess has delved into the Buckingham Palace vault however, as she wore Queen Mary's diamond bandeau tiara on her wedding day.
Though it is not known when Meghan received Her Majesty's touching present, it was of course fitting to don them on their first joint engagement.
But for self-confessed royal fans across the nation, it is not surprising that Her Majesty chose to co-ordinate with the Duchess on the big day.
A Givenchy-clad Meghan was photographed giggling alongside the Queen throughout the royal engagement, their body language further emphasising their newfound friendship.
The duo travelled by royal train to Chester - a gesture which has never been extended to the Duchess of Cambridge - where they unveiled the likes of Mersey Gateway Bridge and the Storyhouse Theatre together.
