Queen Letizia of Spain Updates Power Dressing With Houndstooth Blazer for Royal Palace Event
Queen Letizia of Spain opted for a power dressing moment during an event at the Royal Palace in Madrid on Wednesday. The royal was joined by her husband, King Felipe VI of Spain, for the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the National Police.
For the daytime event, Queen Letizia fashioned a houndstooth blazer courtesy of Uterqüe, a brand within the Massimo Dutti retail chain. She paired the cream and black blazer with a pair of crisp white trousers. Queen Letizia completed the look with a pair of Vivobarefoot trainers in coordinating bright white. As for her jewelry, Queen Letizia kept it very simple, opting for a pair of glittering stud earrings.

Power dressing is a staple of Queen Letizia’s royal wardrobe. The Spanish royal often wears pieces that feature classic silhouettes with timeless elements. This approach to her sartorial statements was on full display during another event at the Royal Palace in Spain.
On April 24, Queen Letizia and King Felipe hosted the official luncheon for the “Miguel De Cervantes 2023” award. For the occasion, Queen Letizia fashioned a pink dress by Spanish brand Pedro del Hierro, which featured long sleeves, a pleated skirt and floral appliqués delicately adorning the fabric of the frock.
Queen Letizia’s power dressing isn’t limited to the dresses she wears. Like many European royal women, the Spanish royal has a proclivity for power suit moments. Queen Letizia fashioned her own power suit look while departing Madrid for her tour of the Netherlands on April 16. She wore a crepe jacket in black by Boss with matching trousers. The royal also fashioned black heels by Massimo Dutti.
For a royal like Queen Letizia, power dressing is ideal for daytime events and engagements. It’s an approach to her royal style that’s developed into a mainstay of her wardrobe over the years.
