Queen Letizia is following in Kate Middleton’s footsteps as one of the most effortlessly stylish royals.

Last month, the Spanish monarch, 51, visited the Monastery of Yuso to attend the closing night of the 16th International Seminar of Language and Journalism: ‘Cambio Climatico, Lenguaje y Comunicacion.’ (It translates to “Climate Change, Language and Communication” in English.)

As a former journalist, Queen Letizia was totally in her element at the event and opted for a timeless ensemble. The royal was wearing the Berlin Black Lamb Trench Coat by Lottussee, which retails for $3,315. It featured a collar, ankle-length silhouette and a button closure that the monarch left open.

She completed the look with a delicate gold chain, chunky loafers, a black sweater and tan Wide Leg Trousers ($294) by Pomandère. She also accessorized with the Marche Small Leather Tote Bag ($954) by Nina Ricci, which is currently out of stock. The result? An effortlessly chic fit that works for formal as well as more casual events.

Queen Letizia is the wife of King Felipe VI of Spain. They share two daughters together, Leonor, Princess of Asturias (18) and Infanta Sofía (16).

Prior to meeting and marrying King Felipe, Letizia studied journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid and the Institute for Studies in Audiovisual Journalism. She worked as a reporter before becoming a news anchor for CNN+ and Televisión Espa?ol.
