Quiz: How Well Do You Know The Doctors Of 'Grey's Anatomy’?

We all can remember watching Grey's Anatomy when it first aired. You didn't have to be into medicine for the show to keep you coming back for the romance, the killer soundtrack (seriously, it's so good), and most importantly, the drama. So. Much. Drama.

To date, Grey's fans have enjoyed 18 seasons, with a 19th premiering this fall (seriously, how'd that happen?). Whether you've been watching every week this whole time or are currently in the middle of your first binge, test your knowledge with this Grey's Anatomy quiz on all the doctor drama that's gone down.

Obviously, extreme dreamboat Derek Shepherd (played by Patrick Dempsey) had the nickname "McDreamy." Just look at those eyes! He got it in Season 1, and it lasted through his entire run on the show.

Surprise! It was Cristina who first referenced Derek as McDreamy back in Season 1, Episode 2...and it stuck. And the "Mc" nickname (McSteamy, McVet, McMarried) has been a running joke on the show ever since.

By my count, it's actually only twice—despite all of their "will they, won't they" drama. They broke up once in Season 2 and once at the beginning of Season 4.

It's Callie—she made her first appearance on the show midway through Season 2, where she helped George after he dislocated his shoulder. She was on the show all the way up to the Season 12 finale. Lexie, on the other hand, first showed up at the very end of Season 3 as a new surgical intern and left after the finale of Season 8.

Trick question! While both doctors were in dire straights in the finale of Season 5, George was the one who died in the beginning of Season 6. Izzie ultimately recovered...but then left the show a few episodes later.

Oh, McSteamy. While "dating" is a relative term for Mark's...romantic activities, he started hooking up with Callie before Lexie.

It's peds—while Alex initially was all about the plastic surgery life, he ultimately discovered that he had a talent (and a passion) for pediatric surgery.

Okay, sorry, but this is another trick question... because they get married in BOTH episodes. In Season 5, MerDer gave up their big wedding in order to let Alex and Izzie (who was very very ill with cancer) get hitched. Instead, they exchanged vows on a Post-It note.

They did, however, get legally married at a courthouse in Season 7 so they could more easily adopt their future daughter Zola.

It's syphilis! And it seemed like the whole freaking hospital got it. Apparently Alex was the one who originally had "the syph" though.

Richard married Catherine Avery—Jackson's mom. The two had been flirting for forever, but it took Richard a long time to be ready, given his guilt over Adele's Alzheimer's disease.

Meredith has three half-sisters: Lexie Grey, Molly Thompson, and Maggie Pierce. Lexie and Molly are the children of Thatcher Grey (Meredith's dad) and his second wife. Maggie Pierce is the daughter of Richard Webber and Ellis Grey (Meredith's mom), and was given up for adoption when she was born.

After crashing and burning during his first surgery attempt in front of the entire new class of interns, George got dubbed "007" (license to kill).

George! Who could forget the period of time when Callie was "Callie O'Malley"? Priceless. Their marriage was strange and ill-fated, and Callie ultimately found a better love in Arizona Robbins.

Harriet Kempner-Avery is Jackson and April's second child; their first, Samuel, died shortly after he was born because of a serious health condition he had as a fetus.

Meredith received an Anatomy Jane doll from her mother when she was 5 years old. She found the doll as an adult and took it to the hospital—she even used it to break down complicated medical terms to a young patient.

Boston, Massachusetts! Ellen credits her hometown for teaching her how to avoid the off-camera drama that took place on set during the early years of the show. "Hurt feelings, combined with instant success and huge paychecks started things spinning out of control," she told The New York Post in 2013. "The crazier things got, I started to focus on the work. Maybe it is my Boston, blue-collar upbringing. I just tried to not pay attention to all the noise around me."

In the ultimate betrayal, it was revealed that Addison cheated on Derek with his best friend, Mark Sloan. Things took an even more awkward turn when McDreamy later cheated on Addison with Meredith.

As random as it seems, Cristina was impaled by (and survived!) a falling icicle.

In a sudden and sweet gesture, Matthew proposed with a flash mob. "I'm a musical theater and dancing geek and love everything that is bright, happy, feel-good and involves choreography," Sarah Drew, who plays April, told The Hollywood Reporter. "I was so excited about it that I went online and watched flash mob proposals on YouTube and cried my way through them."

In one of the most heartbreaking moments from the show, Lexie Grey and Mark Sloan were killed in a plane crash. The hospital was renamed Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in their honor.

Private Practice premiered in 2007, and followed Addison Montgomery as she left her love triangle behind in Seattle to start fresh in Los Angeles. The show was a hit and ran for six seasons before ending in 2013.

When McDreamy was first getting to know Meredith in Season 1, he dropped some facts about himself: "My favorite color is blue. I don't like light blue, indigo. The scar right here on my forehead, that's why I don't ride motorcycles anymore."

The close friends always referred to each other as "My Person." Cristina put it best in Season 3: "She's my person. If I murdered someone, she's the person I'd call to help me drag the corpse across the living room floor. She's my person."

This storyline was nothing short of emotional, and left many viewers in tears. While chasing after a human trafficker, Andrew was stabbed and didn't survive his injuries.

Meredith graduated from Dartmouth College. The choice was a nod to show creator Shonda Rhimes, who went there in real life.

Meredith came up with the nickname McSteamy—which he found out about after she called him it while under the influence of painkillers. Oops!
