The controversial 17-year-old recently gained internet fame for claiming that she is black. In a YouTube video posted in August, Waldrip tells her followers that she took an Ancestry.com test that she says revealed she is 25 percent black.

“My whole entire life, my mom kept telling me, ‘You’re white, you’re white,’ and I never believed her because I knew I was black,” she said in the video. “This whole time I knew it, I knew I was a black girl. So I just consider that to be my birthday because it’s just a very exciting holiday for me.”

After her discovery, the Atlanta native began posting videos and photos including the N-word.

The police report lists her as “white.” It also indicates that Waldrip kicked an officer, according to Action News Jax.

The teen was charged with trespassing, assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, and delaying or obstructing an officer. The incident caused “mass panic” among the mall-goers, giving rise to several reports of an active shooter in the area.

Waldrip shared her account of the altercation with police and her arrest on her social media.

In one Instagram post, she is seen showing off the words “Zone 6,” which is the police patrol zone that includes much of Atlanta’s east side and many of city’s street gangs, that she had written on the inside of her bottom lip, Action News Jax reports.

Waldrip posted another video after she was released on bond. She looks excited while reuniting with her “uncle,” who is black. The bond was set at $500.

“They can’t hold me forever! They racist! Black lives matter!” Waldrip yells in the video.
