Get Ready for the Explosive Ending to 'Money Heist'
Netflix’s Spanish-language crime series Money Heist is coming to an end. But before we say goodbye to the Professor, Tokyo and the rest of the codenamed gang, there’s one final season to end their story.
In the first season, a mysterious man only known as the Professor recruits eight people to carry out an ingenious plan to rob the Royal Mint of Spain. During the heist, the group have to deal with hostages, pressure from the police, and of course, conflict within their own ranks.
Throughout the next few seasons, they manage to escape the bank and make off with the money. But when they all splinter off to enjoy their ill-gotten gains, the police begin to capture the various robbers. The Professor brings them all back in for another heist, this time on the Bank of Spain. And of course, nothing goes exactly as planned.
One of the mainstays of the show is Tokyo, a robber who also serves as an unreliable narrator. Both she and her associates experience love, loss and betrayal while trapped inside the banks. Like any heist that’s fun to watch, they also have to come up with inventive plans to stay ahead of the police and their hostages.

What Happened at the End of Money Heist Season 4?
At the end of season 4, the gang was still trapped in the Bank of Spain. Nairobi is dead, and the police are closing in. When the Professor exposes the unlawful treatment robbers Rio and Lisbon, Inspector Sierra is promptly fired. In retaliation, she decides to take matters into her own hands and go after the Professor herself.
Eventually Lisbon is freed and Sierra finds the Professor. The season ends with Sierra holding him at gunpoint. In season 5, we’ll see if all the currently living robbers and the Professor can get out alive.
When Will There Be More Episodes of Money Heist?
The first volume of the fifth and final season of Money Heist aired on September 3, 2021. It consists of five episodes and is only the first half of the show's end.
Volume Two of Money Heist will drop on December 3 with five more episodes, making the final season a grand total of 10 episodes. That means both a fall and winter release for the show, and enough Money Heist to make saying goodbye just a little bit easier.
