The reason why Cardi B's nail lady made her cry on her birthday

Cardi B celebrated her 25th birthday on Wednesday. And like many women, she booked a salon appointment to make sure her nails were freshly done before partying with family and friends.

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper may have had an idea of what type of nail art she’d like — her signature look is all about bling — but her manicurist had a huge surprise up her sleeves that brought Cardi B to tears.

Jenny Bui of Nails on 7th in the Bronx, N.Y., has been Cardi B’s go-to nail artist for more than five years. She’s decked out the hot young star’s stiletto-shaped nails with shiny Swarovski crystals, sequins, and studs. But for her celebrity client’s birthday, she showered her with flowers, a cake, and a custom manicure that featured the face of Cardi B’s boyfriend, Offset.

Bui tells Yahoo Lifestyle that Cardi B had no idea she’d printed out miniature pictures of her boyfriend. She adds, “I told her, when I’m finished, you’re going to love it!”

While the declaration of love isn’t as permanent as singer Jhené Aiko’s tattoo of rapper-boyfriend Big Sean’s face, it’s still a sweet way to show love for your boo. And like Cardi B says, “Yeah, your nail lady don’t love you like my nail lady love me!”
