Ree Drummond Unveils Fresh 'Cowboy Copper' Hair Color
The Pioneer Woman star Ree Drummond revitalized her signature red hair during a recent visit to Oma Salon in Tulsa, Oklahoma, showing off the bright hue to fans.
Drummond shared a new video on Instagram revealing the before and after of her hair transformation, with her hair colorist, Amber Southern, changing her hair from an orange-ish yellow to rich copper.
"In the before video, my hair is very faded because I’ve been busy and sick (I’m fine now), but my hair had started fading to a yellow type of place, emphasis on Big Bird," Drummond wrote in the caption.
"So the wonderful Amber set me on the straight and narrow again. I know it looks super bright right now, but here’s the thing about redheads. We’re like shooting stars. Unpredictable. Rare. Fleeting. (What, Ree?? ??) Point is, I’ll check back in a week and you’ll see."
Initially, the 54-year-old didn't want to share the secret of her beloved colorist, as she said, "I don’t like posting about Amber because then she gets way too busy for me (haha) but just wanted to show you my red."
There were plenty of fans of the look, especially fellow redheads. One person commented with a name for Drummond's new hue, saying, "the TikTok told me this is Cowboy Copper and you are ??????????."
"You look great! I gotta say my favorite part about being a natural red head is that we don’t go grey. We just seem to fade to a Sandy strawberry blonde! ?? I’ll take it," wrote someone who could relate to Drummond's hair journey.
Even though she was just talking about her hair, many also couldn't help but comment on the mother of five's charm, with an appreciative fan telling her, "For lack of a better explanation, I just like your attitude on life. You're rad!"
Drummond first gained attention from her blog, The Pioneer Woman, which she started in 2006. After it continued to grow, Food Network gave her a cooking show of the same name, which started in 2011 and is still ongoing.
