Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington Lead Cast of New Hulu Show 'Little Fires Everywhere'
Hulu Picked the Perfect Actors to Play the Richardson Family in 'Little Fires Everywhere'
Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington have teamed up to produce and star in a TV series adaption of Celeste Ng's bestselling novel Little Fires Everywhere. Production started in May last year, and the show will premiere on Hulu starting March 18, 2020.
Little Fires follows two families in the late 1990s. When they intertwine, their imperfections are exposed, leaving literal and figurative fires all over the cookie-cutter backdrop of their Ohio suburb.
There are some familiar faces joining the cast, including Joshua Jackson and Rosemarie DeWitt. The young teens, who will play Witherspoon's and Washington's kids on the show, are relatively new to the industry. Find out more about the Little Fires Everywhere cast in our list below.
Reese Witherspoon as Elena Richardson
Witherspoon stars as a journalist and mother of four, who loves to stick with the rules and order of her town. She needs no introduction, but Witherspoon is most well known for her roles in Wild, Legally Blonde, Walk the Line, and A Wrinkle in Time.
Kerry Washington as Mia Warren
Playing Witherspoon's exact opposite is Washington. As spontaneous and mysterious artist Mia Warren, there's no one who troubles Elena more. Washington is a veteran in the industry, you likely know her best from roles in Scandal and Django Unchained.
Joshua Jackson as Bill Richardson
As Witherspoon's on-screen husband, Jackson is set to play Bill Richardson, a somewhat distant father who spends much of his time working as a defense attorney. Jackson is best known for starring in The Affair and Dawson's Creek. He's also in the cast of the upcoming Netflix series When They See Us.
Rosemarie DeWitt as Linda McCullough
DeWitt has been cast as Linda, a woman who dreams of having her own child. After a series of misfortunes, a baby (almost literally) falls into her lap, but her problems are far from over. You probably recognize DeWitt for her projects like Rachel Getting Married, United States of Tara, and Mad Men.
Jade Pettyjohn as Lexie Richardson
Pettyjohn will act as Lexie, the eldest of the Richardson kids and a high school senior with dreams of attending Yale. You may have seen Pettyjohn in the 2018 movie Destroyer or on the Nickelodeon TV show School of Rock.
Jordan Elsass as Trip Richardson
The second oldest in the Richardson family is Trip, a jock with a secret love interest, who will be played by Elsass. His credits include the films The Long Road Home and Reagan: From Movie Star to President.
Gavin Lewis as Moody Richardson
Lewis will star as the third Richardson kid, who's super smart and yes, moody. Netflix fans might know him as Prince Emil, the lead in the series Prince of Peoria.
Megan Stott as Izzy Richardson
Witherspoon's youngest daughter on the show, a troubled teen named Izzy, will be played by Stott. She describes herself as a singer and actor on Instagram, and has just one other credit in her filmography.
Lexi Underwood as Pearl Warren
Washington's daughter, a brilliant teen who desperately wants to stay in one town, will be performed by Underwood. You might have seen her cameos in The Good Doctor or Netflix's No Good Nick.
