Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington Are Teaming Up to Bring ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ to TV
This is not a (fire) drill. Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington are teaming up to bring a bookclub favorite to the small screen..
The Big Little Lies and Scandal actresses are set to star in the highly anticipated TV adaptation of Celest Ng’s best-selling novel Little Fires Everywhere, and we’re burning with excitement.
The critically acclaimed story centers on the controversy that erupts in an affluent Ohio city when a single mother and her daughter move in to town as a custody battle over a Chinese-American baby ensues.
Similar to Big Little Lies, the adaptation of Little Fires Everywhere is being touted as a limited series. Witherspoon bought the rights to her book club pick and will executive produce the series along with Washington. Liz Tigelaar (Casual) is penning the script and will serve as show runner.
We know what we’re reading this weekend.
