Regina King’s Oscars Dress Was Gorg, but Her Arms Stole the Red Carpet Show
Either Regina King spent all of 2019 doing bicep reps with her newly acquired Oscar statue, or she’s been spending time training with the notoriously toned Michelle Obama. Because while her dress is something to behold, it’s her arms that might’ve just stolen the show at this year’s Oscars red carpet.
King, who won 2019’s Best Supporting Actress category for If Beale Street Could Talk, graced this year’s carpet in a light pink beaded, one-shouldered gown by Atelier Versace, which put her extremely toned arms on full display.
In past interviews, King has shared that she started prioritizing health and wellness after being diagnosed with hypertension. She said she tries to go to the gym three or four times a week, focusing on lifting weights or kickboxing. (That’ll do it.)
While she’s not nominated tonight, King will present the award for this year’s Best Supporting Actor thanks to her previous win. That means she’ll be sharing the stage (albeit briefly) with either Tom Hanks (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood), Anthony Hopkins (The Two Popes), Al Pacino (The Irishman), Joe Pesci (The Irishman) or Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in…Hollywood).
It looks like we have a gym routine to perfect.
