Report Clarifies How Gisele Bündchen Is Feeling About Tom Brady's New Relationship
Gisele Bündchen seemingly isn't bothered about her ex-husband Tom Brady moving on.
Victoria's Secret model and Bradley Cooper's ex-wife Irina Shayk was recently photographed by paparazzi staying at the retired NFL star's home. Though Brady is only nine months fresh off his split from Bündchen, his wife of 13 years, the model is said to be accepting of her ex-husband finding a new romance.
At first, TMZ spoke to sources who claimed Bündchen is "not happy" about the new relationship, however, shortly after, other insiders close to the source pushed back on that narrative.
"Why wouldn't she be happy for Tom? She divorced him. It is helpful to her freedom that he moved on," a source told the tabloid. The person also told the publication that Bündchen and Shayk are not friends, but "have known each other professionally for years and have always been cordial when they cross paths."
When the photos came out, a source told People that Brady and Shayk "have been in touch for a few weeks" and "there is a spark" between them.
The source additionally told the magazine that Brady invited the model to "fly out and meet up in Los Angeles," staying together for two nights with the former football player.
Bündchen filed for divorce in October 2022, announcing in a statement on Instagram, "The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always."
In March 2023, the 43-year-old spoke further about her decision to file for divorce in an interview with Vanity Fair, sharing, "Sometimes you grow together, sometimes you grow apart. When I was 26 years old and he was 29 years old, we met, we wanted a family, we wanted things together. As time goes by, we realize that we just wanted different things, and now we have a choice to make."
She continued, "That doesn’t mean you don’t love the person. It just means that in order for you to be authentic and truly live the life that you want to live, you have to have somebody who can meet you in the middle, right? It’s a dance. It’s a balance. When you love someone, you don’t put them in a jail and say, ‘You have to live this life.’ You set them free to be who they are, and if you want to fly the same direction, then that’s amazing."
Bündchen herself has not issued a statement.
