Restaurant lineup announced for 2024 National Fried Chicken Festival in New Orleans
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Organizers of the National Fried Chicken Festival have announced the restaurant lineup for the 2024 event.
According to a news release, almost 40 restaurants from Louisiana and the nation will be heading to the New Orleans Lakefront on Oct. 5 and 6 for two days of fried chicken and fun.
Festival organizers said some past champions will be in attendance at this year’s fest, including Willie Mae’s, Red Bird Fried Chicken, Bao Mi and Gus’s Fried Chicken.

Some Fried Chicken Festival newcomers are set to attend include Picnic Provisions & Whiskey, It’s NolaBaaaaby food truck, LUFU NOLA, Mr. Shrimp’s Kitchen, Grippy’s Sauce Co. and the Slogan Bar & Restaurant.
A post on the festival’s social media stated the following restaurants will also be participating, including Alabama Fry Daddy, Ba Chi Canteen, Birrieria LA, Poblana, Bobby Hebert’s Cajun Cannon, Bof Bars, Catered To, Chicken’s Kitchen, Chubbie’s Fried Chicken, Clambeaugh’s, Crawlins Seafood, Da Assassin Kitchen, Diva Dawg Food Truck, Eugene’s Hot Chicken, Fatty’s Cracklins, Finna Eat, Fresh Fruit Sensations, Friends of Codey’s NOLA, Jessie’s Huckabucks, KOK Wings & Things, Ladelyo’s Creole Catering, Lil Dustin’s Italian Ice, Lizzy’s Coldcups & Sweets, Oh Taste & See, The Batterina, The Frying Station, the NOLA Chuckwagon, Tiger’s Creole Cuisine, Triple L&J Catering and Valerie’s Snoballs.
In addition to chicken, gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options will be available.

Organizers said there will also be a Cane’s Block Pary with DJs, games, prizes and performances at the HEINZ Food is Culture stage.
