Restaurant specializing in waffle sandwiches, chicken tenders opens first location in Northern California

(FOX40.COM) — A fast-casual restaurant known for its waffle sandwiches, chicken tenders, and artisan milkshakes has opened its first location in Northern California.

Bruxie, a Southern California-based restaurant, opened its first Northern California location in Davis on Saturday at the Davis Commons at 500 First St, Suite 9.

Bruxie CEO Scott Grinstead said, “We are thrilled to bring Bruxie to the community of Davis finally…Our hand-crafted waffle sandwiches, famous chicken tenders, and housemade shakes are sure to delight residents, students, and visitors alike.”

The Davis location will be open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. The new location is also hiring for all positions, and applications can be found here.

Bruxie’s Davis partner, Kevin Massie, said, “In bringing Bruxie to Davis, we’re not just opening another restaurant; we’re creating a culinary destination”

California welcomes its newest city

The new location in Davis marks the ninth location that Bruxie has opened in California along with two stores in Georgia.

According to officials, Bruxie is planning to open two more locations in California in 2024, including one near UCLA in Westwood and another one near the University of Southern California in downtown Los Angeles.
