  • King said she is feeling poorlybut recovering.

On Sunday, Real Housewives of Orange County alum Meghan King shared that she recently tested positive for COVID-19 after experiencing “extreme lethargy.”

“I tested positive for COVID. I have been safe while traveling but I had an exchange on Tuesday where I did not protect myself and this is when I had been infected,” she wrote. “I have been safe with distancing and masks since Tuesday, including when I went to dinner solo and stayed distant and wore a mask at Hayes’s soccer [game].”

King shares 3-year-old Aspen and 2-year-old twins Hart and Hayes with ex-husband Jim Edmonds, who tested positive for COVID-19 in the spring.

“My kids have been at their father’s but Hayes will quarantine due to a brief (1 hour) proximity to me,” King added. “I have contacted everyone and will isolate for 10 days minimum per CDC guidelines. My children will have to stay with my parents as they cannot stay at my house while I’m sick.”

King also shared an update about some of the symptoms she’s been experiencing. The 36-year-old said she initially thought her symptoms were due to the common cold, but she “knew something was off” when the extreme fatigue set in. (Research has found that 52% of people experienced “persistent fatigue” after COVID-19, regardless of how severe their case was.)

“I went in to be tested mainly due to extreme lethargy, but I just knew I was positive,” she said. “I don’t have a fever. I do have extreme exhaustion, sneezing, a mild cough, and diarrhea. I think I’m losing my sense of smell.”

The mom of three added in a follow-up Instagram Story that she, like so many others, has been having a hard time this year. “I have been under immense amounts of stress recently and I knew my immune system was low because of that. So despite having been directly exposed multiple times, this was the time that got me,” she wrote.

Earlier on Sunday, King shared a photo from Hayes’s soccer game. She was wearing a face mask in the photo, and clarified on her Instagram Stories that she did not know she had COVID-19 at the time.

“The millisecond I thought I could have something other than a cold I went and got tested. I would NEVER go out in public whilst even believing in the slightest I could have COVID,” she wrote.

King is now in quarantine for “10 days minimum” while she recovers. “I am feeling poorly but I am OK,” she wrote. “I ordered a regimen of vitamins and am getting tons of rest, water, and food delivery.”
