Rihanna Co-Funded a $4.2 Million Grant to Aid Victims of Domestic Abuse Affected by the Coronavirus Pandemic

Our lord and savior Robyn Fenty has done it again.

Rihanna, when she’s not recording herself singing “Imagine” or going live on Instagram for the 325435th time (just kidding — she absolutely did not do ANY OF THESE THINGS!), has been aiding coronavirus relief efforts in a very real and meaningful way.

Initially, her nonprofit, the Clara Lionel Foundation, donated $5 million spread among myriad organizations fighting against COVID-19, including Direct Relief, Partners In Health, Feeding America, the International Rescue Committee and World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

Then, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo spilled the beans that the multi-hyphenate had donated personal protective equipment to the state.

And now, the Clara Lionel Foundation, alongside Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey, funded a $4.2 million grant to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles to support those affected by domestic violence.
