Rihanna explains how her style has changed since pregnancy: 'I'm enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy'
Pregnant Rihanna is loving maternity fashion.
The “Diamonds” singer spoke to People at her Fenty Beauty Universe event this week and explained how awaiting the arrival of her first child with partner A$AP Rocky has changed how she dresses.
"I'm enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy," the Ocean's 8 actress explained. "If I feel a little chubby, it's like, whatever! It's a baby!"

She also shared how she’s using makeup to boost her confidence on days when she feels a bit blah.
"Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, 'Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day,'” Rihanna shared. “But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform.”
Rihanna revealed her pregnancy to the public in February when she showed off her pregnant stomach in New York City. Days later, she posted a series of maternity photos on Instagram. She captioned the post, “How the gang pulled up to Black history month.”
In a 2020 interview with Vogue, Rihanna declared she wanted at least “three or four kids” in the near future. She explained that she planned on becoming a mother regardless of whether she met the right partner.
“I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong…’ They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives,” she noted. “But the only thing that matters is happiness, that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.”
Rihanna, however, found true love one year later with her longtime friend Rocky, who told GQ of the “Work” artist, “"So much better when you got the One. She amounts to probably, like, a million of the other ones. I think when you know, you know. She's the One."
