This Is How You Rip 6-Inch Surf

How often do CT surfers put out clips surfing knee high waves?

Pretty much never.

Why would they? Guys like Kolohe Andino, Crosby Colapinto and Kade Matson make a living surfing (and chasing) the world's best waves.

But that's not all they surf.

During a recent flat spell in California, the trio above (plus Taj Lindblad) got desperate, so they drove 20 minutes south to Oceanside, in search of bigger surf.

They didn't find it.

Instead, they pulled up to 12-inch waves. Rather than drive home, they paddled out anyway and attacked it like it was a 6-foot day at Trestles, flying around and (somehow) nailing tail blows, airs, snaps and wraps.

While the waves totally suck, you'll be surprised how entertaining it is to watch the best in the world ride terrible waves.

In fact, this clip might even motivate you to paddle out the next time it looks this awful at your own homebreak. Which is likely pretty often.
