RIP Tof Henry

On Wednesday, October 11th, BioBioChile reported that two extreme skiers, one Chilean and one French, had been killed while attempting to climb and presumably ski Chile's Putiagudo Volcano.

Later reports confirmed that those killed were Tof Henry and IFMGA guide Juan Senoret.

While the specifics of the accident are still unclear, it is known that Henry and Se?oret fell off a cliff before their passing.

In an October 5th Instagram post, Henry documented his arrival in South America, providing the lowdown on one of his forays into the mountains.

Now, the post functions as a memorial of sorts, with skiers, professionals and non-professionals, alike offering their condolences:

Rest in peace ???Thanks for all brov ??

We will all miss watching you fly.

Power and precision, balancing that style on the edge of a thin line. Ride fast. Rest in peace????

Rest in peace ?? it was an honor to meet you!

Henry was known for skiing high-consequence, mountaineer-access lines at blistering speeds, cementing his status as a Chamonix, France, top dog. Although his influence echoes far beyond the slopes of Chamonix, inspiring skiers worldwide. Few do it like Henry did.

According to Planetmountain.com, Se?oret was a widely regarded guide known for being one of the best mountaineers in Chile.

Tof Henry and Juan Se?oret, ski in peace.
