Something crazy is happening on Riverdale, but then again when isn't there? Still, season 4's current storyline is extremely stressful for those who love Jughead. The show has been giving us flash-forwards that allude to Jughead possibly being dead. In last week's episode, they showed a scene of FP and Betty at the coroner identifying Jughead's body and it was really him. But seriously, would Riverdale kills one of the show's main, most beloved character? Well, for those worried, a theory from E! News points to that not being the case. The theory says that this whole Jughead thing is actually staged and he isn't dead.

In the latest episode of Riverdale, FP heads to Riverdale High with armed officers to accuse Betty, Archie and Veronica of Jughead's murder, which sounds pretty wild. But the scene was shown right after Jughead was asked to create three chapters and outline about their version of a perfect murder as a part of a writing competition.

When you think about the flash-forwards scenes, something definitely feels off. Could it be because they're not real and instead we're seeing Jughead's take on the perfect murder come to life. E! News theorizes that the glimpses that we're getting into future events are just Jughead's writing come to life.

Though fake deaths are seriously annoying, it would even be more devastating if the show really killed off Jughead. So for Cole Sprouse fans' sake, let's hope Jughead is alive and well.
