Robert Irwin Enjoys 'Nap Time With a Couple Mates' in the Most Australian Video Ever
Robert Irwin
Those who follow Robert Irwin on social media know all too well that the son of Terri Irwin and the late Steve Irwin has followed in his parents' footsteps as a conservationist. However, unlike his famous father—known as the "Crocodile Hunter" thanks to the popular Animal Planet series—Robert seems to have an affinity for an entirely different animal species.
On Friday, Dec. 1, Robert took to Instagram to share a video clip of him enjoying "nap time" at the Australia Zoo.
"Good afternoon," the 20-year-old said to the camera as it was zoomed in closely on his head and shoulders while he lied on the ground. "It's nap time with a couple mates."
The camera then abruptly zoomed out to reveal Robert surrounded by more than a dozen lounging kangaroos.

Instagram followers chimed in with their reactions in the comments. One person wrote, "?? I was so worried the 'mates' were crocodiles."
Someone else declared, "Your dad is the croc hunter, young Robert is the kangaroo whisperer ????."
Yet another Instagram user complimented Robert for how well he fit into the group, writing, "Blending in ????."
Meanwhile, another person commented, "Sleeping alongside a family of kangaroos is singlehandedly the most Australian thing I've ever seen. ??????"
Another follower agreed, "Doesn't get more aussie than this."
Yet another person wrote, "You finally got in with the cool group ??."
That last comment was in reference to a different video Irwin recently posted on social media.

"POV: Trying to fit in with the cool group," he captioned a clip shared via Instagram on Nov. 24. "'Hey guys, don’t mind me… so uh where you from originally' ????."
In the short video, Robert carefully crouched down and attempted to scoot between two kangaroos lying on the ground—except they immediately left.
"Didn't work...didn't work," a defeated Robert said.
Followers got a kick out of the idea of Robert being the outcast kangaroo.
One person commented, "Me trying to socialize at work events."
Another Instagram user quoted a line from Mean Girls, writing, "‘He doesn’t even go here’ ??."
Someone else commented, "they said…. 'Mmm.. NO.'"
Hopefully, Robert's entertaining saga with the kangaroos will continue!
