Rodeo and livestock and community, oh my: Montrose County Fair coming up
MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) — Montrose County said it’s promising a plethora of family events at the upcoming fair and rodeo.
The festivities start Friday, July 19, and end Sunday, July 27, at the Montrose County Fairgrounds, 1001 N. Second St. in Montrose.
The activities include rodeo competitions, community night, livestock shows, 4-H and FFA exhibits and fair food.
“Fairs hold a special place in my heart,” Montrose County Commissioner Keith Caddy said in a press release. “As a child, I remember spending countless hours at the fair preparing my project for show and sale. I am proud to be the commissioner representative on the fair board and grateful to the fair board for their hard work. This is going to be a great event.”
Added Montrose County Fair Board President Chad Dunlap: “We’re excited to welcome everyone to this year’s fair. We have a fantastic lineup planned, with something for everyone to enjoy.”
