Roseanne Barr Goes Wild on Twitter
Update, 5/30/2018 at 3:27 p.m.: Roseanne Barr is back on Twitter after a brief break. On Wednesday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. EST, Barr tweeted a statement in self-defense.
I'm not a racist, I never was & I never will be. One stupid joke in a lifetime of fighting 4 civil rights 4 all minorities, against networks, studios, at the expense of my nervous system/family/wealth will NEVER b taken from me.

She's also been retweeting various politcal posts, including one about Valerie Jarrett. But also sent a warning about possibly "fighting back."
you guys make me feel like fighting back. I will examine all of my options carefully and get back to U.

Original, 5/30/2018 at 10:06 a.m.: Roseanne Barr promised to leave Twitter on Tuesday morning after she tweeted a racist comment about Valerie Jarrett, a former advisor to President Barack Obama - but not even a day later, she was tweeting up a storm.
In response to ABC canceling the reboot of Roseanne, Barr returned to Twitter on Tuesday night and told fans not to defend her after she tweeted this about Jarrett on Monday night: "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby = vj." Of the now-deleted tweet, Barr said she did something "unforgivable," but she also claimed she was on the sleep drug Ambien during the whole debacle.

According to CNN, Barr also reportedly replied to a fan's comment saying, "I honestly thought she was Jewish and Persian - ignorant of me for sure, but ... I did." (By "she," Barr was referring to Jarrett, who is black and was born in Iran.)
But whatever Barr is now trying to do, it seems to be too little, too late. Especially since Barr then started to retweet her supporters, many of whom didn't see anything wrong with her original statement about Jarrett.
Barr then returned to her mea culpa act, which was buried in - you guessed it - more re-tweets from people supporting her.
hey guys, don't defend me, it's sweet of you 2 try, but...losing my show is 0 compared 2 being labelled a racist over one tweet-that I regret even more.

She finally ended the whole thing by saying goodnight early Wednesday morning.
thanks for all your kind comments, everyone! Love u all goodnight-

In response to Barr's comment, Jarrett responded by saying: "I think we have to turn it into a teaching moment. I'm fine," on MSNBC's Everyday Racism in America on Tuesday night.
