Fans of the royal family have declared Prince Louis to be his mother Kate Middleton's twin after seeing a rare throwback photo of the Princess of Wales.
In the shot, which was taken during the Christmas season of 1983, when the Princess was about 23 months old, she sat in a wooden chair covered with a strand of lit garland, a bowl and spoon sitting on a potholder in front of her. She wore a navy cardigan over a striped blue button-up dress with a folded white collar poking out, and accessorized with a colorful beaded necklace.
The royal couple's joint Instagram account shared the vintage snap of the Princess in support of her campaign "Shaping Us," which is held in partnership with the Centre for Early Childhood and "aims to raise awareness of the critical importance of early childhood in shaping the adults we become," according to the website.
"Sharing some festive memories this Christmas because #ShapingUs is all about the vital importance of our early years and the role played by those around us in shaping the rest of our lives," they wrote alongside the photo.
Fans were convinced the family was trying to pull the wool over their eyes, with one writing, "You're absolutely lying, this is Louis ??????."
"I see Prince Louis ????," another wrote, with someone else stating, "That's literally Prince Louis if he was a girl ??."
"Copy and pasted Little Louis ??," another commenter observed, while someone else agreed, "I think we can all agree Louis is the splitting [sic] image of his mother.....the Middleton gene is visible."
The 5-year-old certainly does seem to favor his mother, while their father, Prince William's gene hold strong in his older siblings, Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 8.
