I’ve made great new friends within my running community. I’m in a better mood when I run. I’m more fit and have become more patient.

I wanted the content. I’m constantly running my mouth on long runs with my club about what I’ve read.

That daily sense of accomplishment is amazing. I’m motivated to see my running group friends (New Hyde Park-Mineola Runner’s Club) or get some miles in with my Schnoodle named Lincoln. I’m motivated to be in better health.

I try to get my runs in whenever I can. Weekends it’s in the morning and weekdays I try to find a spot on my nightly two hour long commute home where I can stop and get my miles in. I love running on the packed gravel at Shirley Chisholm State Park; great rolling hills along the water or the boardwalk near the Verrazano Bridge. It’s always on the way home. If I’m home it’s over.

Work my way to do ultras. My first marathon attempt ended in an overtraining injury. My second attempt I completed my first 2019 Steamtown Marathon 3:53:03 chip time. All I wanted was below four hours. Planning on trying a 60K in 2020.
