Running has changed my life in a number of ways. It has helped change my priorities by changing the way I eat and drink, which has directly helped with losing weight and keeping a healthy diet. It has helped me set and keep goals because if I don’t, more than likely I am going to lose money by not attending a race I signed up for. It also has helped me be a better role model for my three-year-old daughter—now she stretches with me, wants to do all of the kids’ runs at races, and it keeps her active. It inadvertently has shown her the importance of sports, good sportsmanship, and competitiveness by beating daddy around the house for stuff. Lastly, it has helped me create friendships with many different people from all walks of life that I wouldn’t have met without running.

I joined RW+ because I like being up to date on new shoes, new gear, and I really enjoy reading the different stories.

If I don’t keep running, my daughter will run circles around me. So I need the ability to keep up.

The Classic Selden 10K in Selden, NY. I usually run it a couple of times a week. It is just a course of incredible hills and when you get over one, there is another one waiting right there for you. It’s tiring and difficult, but at the end you just want to do it again the next day because it is helping you get closer and closer to your goals.

It has to be any of my Nike shoes. I love eccentric colored shoes and I always get them in either hot pink or lime green.

I am from Chicago and the Cubs are my favorite team. I was in Chicago when they won the World Series and attended the parade.

My running goal is to finish the Valencia Marathon in 3 hours and 30 min in December, if the race happens. If it doesn’t, then whatever next marathon I run.
