Growing up, I’d always been an active kid and ran local races with my friends for fun. A couple years ago, I looked up my run times from high school when I thought I was in the best shape of my life. I challenged myself to do better and log faster times. I joined Brooklyn Track Club and started training with them to get faster. Since then I have been running races trying to best my past self and on a couple occasions I already have. This work ethic and desire has translated to other aspects of my life and I keep striving for more at work and in my personal life.

When I get into a sport or activity, I try to learn as much as possible about it and really dedicate myself to it. Runner’s World gives me the insight and knowledge base it would take years to learn from experience.

To compete with myself. To keep being a better version of myself. Since I am no longer in competitive sports, this gives me the drive I need to lace up and get out the door and strive to be faster.

I run mostly around Brooklyn. Prospect Park never gets old and you always see a friendly familiar face.

The Nike Vaporfly.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, I can probably tell you where all the best pizza spots are.

I was supposed to run my first marathon in 2020 in Berlin, but that was canceled due to COVID-19. I can’t wait until 2021 to tackle the NYC Marathon as my first 26.2 on home turf.
