Ed Sheeran may have originally written 'Shape of You' for Little Mix, and then Rihanna, but the track was clearly better suited to Ed's doppelg?nger, Rupert Grint.

After watching the Harry Potter star's dramatic – and hilarious – reading of the hit single, we reckon it's worth starting a petition to get Rupert to cover the entire song.

(We'd buy it, at least.)

Have a watch of Rupert's very serious take on 'Shape of You' for Yahoo! below. You'll never hear the "Oh, I" refrain in the same way again.

Believe it or not, this isn't the first time Rupert's taken on the role of Ed Sheeran - he's been Rupert Sheeran, or Ed Grint, in real life, too.

Appearing on James Corden's Late Late Show earlier this month, Ed Rupert revealed that singer Leo Sayer had once mistaken him for Sheeran – because obviously all ginger people look the same.

"The singer Leo Sayer, he came up to me and said he loved my music, of course thinking I was Ed," he admitted. "I played along."

"It's kind of 50-50 now. It could go either way. I could be Ed, or I could be me," he added.

We'll take you as you are, Rupert – but a Sheeran/Grint team-up wouldn't go amiss if you're up for it.
