Ryan Gosling has the sweetest group of supporters rallying around him at the 96th Academy Awards.
The Barbie star, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Ken, stepped out on the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 10, in a dapper black suit with a silver sequined lining, posing for photographers with his whole family.
His sister, Mandi Gosling, wore a gold and black long-sleeved dress with a plunging neckline, with her blonde hair pulled back into an updo. She posed in between her brother and their mother, Donna Gosling, who wore a black gown with several cutouts. She wore her hair down loose and accessorized with a pair of sparkling diamond drop earrings, as well as a Barbie-appropriate pink clutch.
Next to her stood her husband, and Ryan's stepfather, Italian writer and director Valerio Attanasio, who was dressed in a black suit with a white button-up and black bowtie.
Ryan's wife, Eva Mendes, did not appear to be present, though she previously supported her hubby with a t-shirt emblazoned with a photo of the actor in character, claiming she "got that real big Kenergy."
While Gosling is up for honors at the prestigious film awards, his colleagues, star Margot Robbie and writer/director Greta Gerwig, failed to garner nominations.
Ryan defended their work at the time, noting that "there is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film."
"To say that I'm disappointed that they are not nominated in their respective categories would be an understatement," he added. "...Their work should be recognized along with the other very deserving nominees."
