Safe Haven of Iowa County hosting fundraiser, with Hawkeye help
The Safe Haven of Iowa County is raising money for animals in need, with some Hawkeye help. Throughout the month of June, the animal shelter is selling raffle tickets for $10 and $50 each.
Iowa players have partnered with up with the Safe Haven of Iowa County to sign unique prizes up for grabs. Those prizes include a Caitlin Clark cutout, Brody Brecht signed baseball, signed football helmet, signed Hawkeye flag, as well as individual signed posters and football cards for select players.
The Safe Haven, located in South Amana Iowa rescues and protects dogs and cats in need. With additional funding they hope to replace the kennels in their facility. A section of six kennels costs almost $40,000. With grants included the goal is to raise $30,000 from fundraisers.
Iowa football players contributed 1,000 hours of time to the shelter last offseason. For more information on how to donate visit SHIC Home (wesavepets.com).
