Welcome to August, Sagittarius. It's an epic month for your career. And, sure, Mercury goes retrograde, but your friends really show up for you this month, reminding you how adored you are. At the end of July, you felt called to learn a new skill. You're the archer of the zodiac, always pointing your arrow at new opportunities.

The stars are busy on Sunday, August 4. To start, Mercury begins one of its infamous retrogrades on this date. Allow extra travel time in anticipation of delays and expect technology to slow down. Also on Sunday, August 4, opulent Venus moves into your ambitious 10th House. As a result, you're interested in blazing ahead, whether at work or for a creative hobby, with your signature Sagittarius firepower. So you might feel pretty frustrated if it seems like Mercury retrograde is getting in the way. That night, the sky goes dark with a calming new moon in your philosophical 9th House. This lunation signals that this day is best spent taking it easy or plotting and planning rather than expecting immediate action. Even God took Sunday off to rest!

Sagittariuses tend to have a lot of friends. Just look at fellow Sags Nicki Minaj, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift. It's that signature charisma. But, as a result of everyone wanting to hang out with you, you can feel overburdened at times. When Juno, the asteroid of commitment, moves into your 11th House of Friendship on Friday, August 9, you're thinking about who among your social circle is a sycophant and who is a ride-or-die. If you spot any fakers, don't be afraid to cut ties.

Thanks to your archer spirit, it can be tough for you to slow down. However, when Mercury retrograde shifts into your philosophical 9th House on Wednesday, August 14, you might feel slightly unnerved. Rather than stressing about this or getting angry at yourself for being less productive than usual, remember that rest and downtime are investments in your long-term potential. Make your to-do lists slightly shorter than usual or, even better, add soothing, spiritual activities that your 9th house adores, like spiritual baths or tarot reading, to them.

You'll want to prioritize self-care through Monday, August 19. On this date, your ruling planet, expansive Jupiter, squares (a stressful aspect) Venus, leaving you feeling a little frazzled. There's also an Aquarius full moon in your 3rd House of Communication, and, honestly, a tumultuous, full moon in your 3rd House while Mercury is retrograde will make it hard to get anything done. If you stress about this, you'll be even more unproductive! Instead, continue to fill your to-do lists with as many restful activities as possible.

You'll be grateful for the downtime: When the sun moves into Virgo, the work opportunities start piling up.

You'll be grateful for the downtime, as when the sun moves into Virgo on Thursday, August 22, lighting up your productive 10th House, the work emails and opportunities start piling up. Shortly after, on Saturday, August 24, Vesta, the asteroid of spirituality, also moves into your 10th House, making professional responsibilities feel exciting and fulfilling. Work won't feel like work. Adding to the abundance, on Monday, August 26, Ceres, the asteroid of nurturance, ends its retrograde and goes direct in your 2nd House of Possessions, indicating (within the limits of our economy, of course) that you're able to monetize hobbies, successfully ask for a raise, or grow your business. And then, Mercury ends its retrograde and also goes direct on Wednesday, August 28, indicating that making deals becomes much easier.

But, in the flurry of the back-to-school vibes that the end of August brings, don't forget to continue to allocate time for your friends. When loving Venus moves into your 11th House on Thursday, August 29, your valuable social time is best spent with those friends who you deem worthy. Enjoy the final stretch of summer, and we'll see you in September.
