Sam Heughan Nearly Breaks the Internet With Shirtless Selfie From Tropical Paradise
Sam Heughan
On Thirsty Thursday, Sam Heughan gifted fans the ultimate thirst-quencher—a shirtless selfie.
Heughan, donning only shades and a baseball cap worn backward, soaked up the sunshine in the first photo uploaded to the Outlander star’s Instagram account on Oct. 26.
The second photo in the slideshow, along with the caption, painted a better picture for fans of where the Scottish actor is vacationing: the Four Seasons Nevis.
As he enjoyed an orange-tinted rum drink garnished with a slice of lime, the picturesque backdrop included palm trees, blue skies, and a beach. He also gave a glimpse at a lit-up pier during sunset.
The final photo in the gallery was definitely worth scrolling for as it featured more of a shirtless Heughan, this time baring his abs as he leaned on a reclining chaise with one foot propped up and his hand on his hip for the perfect pose.
In another video, he gave a more detailed glimpse of the resort in the West Indies, showing off his welcoming room decor, a seafood bar, and tranquil grounds.
Naturally, Heughan’s holiday on the beach elicited plenty of compliments from fans.
“Uff what a sight for my sore eyes this morning ??,” one wrote, as another emphasized, “SO pretty and the dude in the pics isn't that bad either! ??.”
Others couldn’t help but call out the location, with comments like, “Looks perfect and relaxing! ??,” and “Gorgeous landscape! ??.”
Another joked, “Lovely views indeed ??????,” likely referring more to Heughan’s chiseled physique than the tropical paradise where he’s getting some much-deserved R&R.
Prior to his getaway, the actor was doing press in New York City to promote his upcoming book, Clanlands in New Zealand, a follow-up to the Men in Kilts stars' book Clanlands. On Oct. 24, he stopped by The Kelly Clarkson Show where he gave fans a peek at his transformation into a dwarf from The Hobbit.
And during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Heughan spoke about his recent projects and shared a TMI tidbit about going commando under his kilt while posing on a glacier in New Zealand.
Fans can snag a copy of Clanlands in New Zealand on Nov. 7.
