Looking to upgrade your TV this spring? Walmart has this Samsung 58-inch Class 4K UHD LED Smart TV (UN58NU6080FXZA) on sale for $358, or $72 off retail. This is the cheapest price you can find on the web right now, and it’s even cheaper than the same model on sale at Amazon.
Equipped with a huge 58-inch 4K display, this is one of Samsung’s wallet-friendly TV models with just about every bell and whistle you’d come to expect from the TV manufacturer, including three HDMI ports for soundbars and video game consoles, two USB ports for flash drives and video streaming included.
While this TV doesn’t have a QLED display, it does have a premium LED display with Samsung’s “PurColor” and HDR (High Dynamic Range) settings backing it up. This means images and movement come out with vivid colors to get the picture as close as possible on what you’d find on QLED models, but at an affordable price tag.
So what’s the difference between QLED and LED? In a nutshell, 4K TVs use LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology as an efficient and affordable light source, while QLED uses the same technology, but with added layer of “quantum dot” materials (that’s what the “Q” stands for). This makes images more color accurate and deeper than traditional LED displays. In addition, if you want to dig in a bit deeper, check out this article comparing the two display types.
Meanwhile, this Samsung 4K TV is also internet-enabled, so you can connect this 4K stunner to your home’s Wi-Fi network for video streaming TV shows, movies, games and apps from Samsung’s SmartHub Store. This is where you’d find streaming apps like Netflix, Disney+, Spotify, HBO and many more. You can also use it as a computer monitor and browse the web in a big way.
For just $358, this Samsung 4K TV is a “more bang for your buck” model with impressive picture quality, crisp and clear audio (thanks to its dual 10-watt stereo speakers) and video streaming built-in. “Pictures that look so realistic they almost seem 3D,” continued the reviewer.
