San Antonio Zoo's Tiny Armadillo Snacking on Insects Is Absolutely Precious

Armadillos usually use their claws to dig for food, like larva and insects, and the San Antonio zoo shared an adorable video of their armadillo Wilson using a slow-feeder to do the same thing.

Check out how this little guy chomps when he eats his buggy meal!

The adorable video, shared by the TikTok account for The @Sanantoniozoo, is bringing out a lot of new fans of little Wilson. @Rosco comments, "I really want my very own elderly Scottish turtle squirrel." And that is a pretty accurate description!

@Matt adds, "He is the Bestest Muncher!"@Michaela replies, "He looks so crusty! I love it!" @Jo hilariously asks, "Um what exactly is Wilson? Other than a very delicate nibbler with lovely table manners." @Render responds, "I love their little feets they look like tiny cowboy boots or little high heels!"

Armadillos are found mainly in the Americas, ranging from the southern United States to Argentina. They inhabit various environments, including forests, grasslands, and arid regions, and sadly, you see a lot of them in the middle of the road after they have been struck by cars.

When threatened by predators, these little guys roll into balls in order to protect themselves.

Earlier in October, the zoo shared another cute video of Wilson where it looks like he had some cut up fruit added to his buggy meal.

We just adore his little chomps! Even if we don't share his fondness for his meal!
