Sex and the City is officially returning to the small screen. Sarah Jessica Parker confirmed the news of a revival of the much-loved New York-set show on Instagram. Parker posted a video featuring scenes of the city paired with one of Carrie Bradshaw's signature voiceovers. "I couldn’t help but wonder... where are they now? X, SJ," reads the caption. Watch the clip below, then read on for everything we know so far about the revival.

The new series might be called And Just Like That.

That is what the preview seems to suggest, though a series title has yet to be confirmed officially.

It's safe to assume Parker is reprising the role of Carrie Bradshaw.

Given that Parker shared the announcement on her personal social media account, she seems to be on board for the revival. Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda in the original series, and Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte, also shared the teaser on Instagram, so they both seem to be returning to the series as well. Other casting details have yet to be confirmed, but it's unlikely that Kim Cattrall will appear in the series as Samantha Jones. In several interviews, she has made it clear that she is finished with the franchise.

This isn't the first spinoff of Sex and the City.

The original show, which ran for six seasons on HBO between 1998-2004, previously inspired two feature films and a prequel series called The Carrie Diaries, which starred AnnaSophia Robb as a young Carrie, and ran for two seasons on The CW.

A premiere date has yet to be set.

The Instagram announcement noted that the series will stream on HBO Max. Deadline also reports that the show is "being brought back as a limited series."
