'Sarah Sanders welcome any time' reads sign in front of restaurant in western New York state
Last week, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders was asked to leave a Virginia restaurant because of her important role in the Trump administration. She posted on her official Twitter account about the ordeal.
Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left. Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so

The co-owner of the restaurant, Stephanie Wilkinson, told the Washington Post that her staff, some of whom are LGBT and knew Sanders defended Trump’s banning transgender people from the military, asked Wilkinson to ask the press secretary to leave.
Sanders replied, “That’s fine. I’ll go.”
And while Sanders may not be welcome at Red Hen, or a bar in Chicago that bans “Make America Great Again” hats, she can always order breakfast at this restaurant in tiny hamlet of South Wales, N.Y.

Kipp’s Restaurant has placed a sign in front of their business that reads “Sarah Sanders Welcome Anytime.” Well, maybe not anytime, since Kipp’s is only open from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Fox News reported that Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee tweeted a photo of the restaurant’s sign and quipped that it “looks like my kind of place!”
Kipp’s, located near Buffalo, N.Y., is already garnering attention from the governor’s tweet.
Some Sanders supporters on Kipp’s Facebook page are applauding the restaurant. One user said, “WooHoo! Great folks, hometown feel and true Patriots! Gotta LOVE KIPP’S!” while another said, “Mmmmm, tastes like FREEDOM!”
However, some reviews are not as friendly. One Yelp review reads, “It was difficult to enjoy my delicious food knowing the management is okay with serving neo-fascists and racists who support child abuse. I felt as if the other patrons would be happy calling ICE on people simply for speaking a different language.”
Maybe with all of this attention, Kipp’s will start serving lunch.
