Save over $250 a year with these Swedish Dishcloths: A 10-pack's down to $6

Ditch the paper towels and grab these wildly popular, super-absorbent wipes while they're nearly 65% off.

When you toss a paper towel, it can feel like you're just throwing money away. Well, you are ā€” to the tune of hundreds of dollars. Reusable cloths are a thriftier and more eco-friendly way to wipe messes away. Case in point: these Swedish Dishcloths. A single cloth can be reused up to 100 times, and you can get them on sale for as little as 60 cents apiece ($6 for a 10-pack) at Amazon. Now that's what we call cleaning up!

Reusable and biodegradable, these cloths are a thrifty and eco-smart option for cleaning countertops, dishes and more.

Why is it a good deal? ??

Let's crunch some numbers here. According to Statista, Bounty is the most popular paper towel brand in the U.S., and it costs $23 for eight family-size rolls on Amazon. And the average American household uses at least eight rolls per month, which averages out to 96 rolls per year. That comes out to about $276 spent on paper towels per year.

Meanwhile, each one of these Swedish Dishcloths is designed to last as long as 15 rolls of paper towels, so by my rough calculations, if you replaced your paper towels with these, you would only go through 6-7 cloths a year ā€” spending $6 total with cloths to spare. That's a savings of $270! The cheery yellow pack is currently on sale for the lowest price (nearly 65% off); in fact, we've never seen these towels for less. They come in many colors and prints, though you'll be paying at least $13 for other styles.

Why do I need this? ??

These absorbent cloths ā€” as in, they can hold up to 15 times their weight in liquid, according to the brand ā€” make a great replacement for icky sponges. They're fast-drying, odor-resistant and long-lasting. And the Amazon universe is all abuzz about 'em, with more than 43,000 five-star ratings. That's a lot of love for a dishcloth.

Made of cotton and cellulose, these washable cloths can be cleaned again and again in the dishwasher or laundry. When they finally wear out, you can rest easy knowing they'll biodegrade. Impressive for less than a buck a cloth!

What reviewers say ??

Amazon customers confirm these are incredibly effective on dishes. They are called Swedish Dishcloths, after all.

Pros ??

"You need these," promised an emphatic buyer. "AMAZING ... They are a workhorse for what they do. Into chemical-free/product-free cleaning? Iā€™m telling you, cleaning is what I do. Wet one of these and hit a mirror with just water ... Throw them in the dishwasher or washer (I donā€™t put them in the dryer). And they last. I canā€™t tell you how many times Iā€™ve bought these as gifts. I have them stashed everywhere. Bathrooms, laundry room, kitchen, car!"

One happy shopper reported, "Great replacement for paper towels. I've been using them almost nonstop. Washed beautifully and so easy to use. Dries totally, with no musty smells. Appropriately thick for frequent use with no tearing. Colors are bright and haven't faded yet. Texture is soft without being fuzzy. Nice product. Absorption is excellent."

"Transform your cleaning routine," said a third. "Unlike traditional paper towels that get thrown away after one use, these reusable cloths are built to last. I've been using them for weeks, and they still look and work as good as new. This durability not only saves me money in the long run but also reduces waste."

Cons ??

"The only, and very minor, complaint is that I'd like them about an inch bigger," shared a generally pleased user. "They're very absorbent, have a texture that aids wiping and can be squeezed or wrung out easily. And when they finally do wear out, we toss them into the compost bin!"

"[A] little annoying to store if they don't dry flat," noted a final fan, "but that's my only complaint. ... I use this for everything!"

How cute is this floral-printed pack? Sure, it's a bit pricier, but you'll still save money in the long run!

Another eco-friendly money-saver? These genius wool dryer balls:

These No. 1 bestselling fabric-softening balls can be reused for over a thousand laundry loads. They're made entirely of wool, and they'll not only make your washables plush but shorten their drying time in the process. What's more, they'll save you tons of money on dryer sheets that just end up in the trash.

"These dryer balls are perfection," raved a shopper. "They work wonders to end static in the dryer. They save us money, as they also help our clothing dry faster. As a family of four, we do lots of laundry, and these last longer than other brands, holding up to major use with clothing, blankets and towels."
