Scary 'Breaking Bad' Guy Now Scary 'Westworld' Guy
Westworld was already known for its stellar cast, but season 2 has really doubled down on star power. First, Vikings fans were shocked to see Floki (Gustaf Skarsgard) in a suit as Delos' head of operations Karl Strand. Next, we couldn't help but notice Get Out star Betty Gabriel as the badass Maling. And now, in season 2, episode 2 "Reunion,"Westworld has brought on the face behind one of TV's greatest ever villains: Giancarlo Esposito.
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul's Gus Fring was a polite yet terrifying drug kingpin, and possibly the most frightening foe Walter White (Bryan Cranston) ever faced. Now Esposito is the thorn in the side of another anti-hero in a black hat: William (Ed Harris). El Lazo (no, not Lawrence, a new El Lazo-or should we say a new host, who can keep it straight anymore?) is a man with an army: just the army William needs for his journey to find "The Door." But El Lazo doesn't want to play ball, and after a sinister yet civil exchange, he and the rest of his men all shoot themselves in the head. So it looks like the Man in Black and Lawrence are on their own.
No matter how short his screen time, Twitter took notice, and were very loud about it:
Yes, yes it is.
