This Scottish fold kitten got dumped for the saddest reason

In the eyes of a breeder, Eloise, a Scottish fold kitten was unsellable, therefore she deserved to be killed. The kitten’s drippy eyes made her “imperfect,” so the breeder took her to a vet to be euthanized. But a savior stepped in, a vet tech who contacted animal activist Beth Stern, who rescued Eloise.

There are people who make you lose all faith in humanity (like the breeder), then there are people (more like angels?) like Beth Stern. Stern has dedicated her life to helping kitties that no one else gives a chance to. Stern, alongside her husband, radio personality Howard Stern, fosters and helps them find a loving forever home.

Beth shared Eloise’s picture and story with Beth’s over 400,000 Instagram followers. Beth began by saying, “Eloise was born with drippy eyes,” and ending by asking, “Do you think she’s imperfect?”

Commenters were quick to respond to Beth’s question. One said, “No. She is absolutely beautiful. Thank you to the angel who saved her. How can anyone give an animal a death sentence because it’s not perfect. I pray she finds her perfect forever family who will love her as she deserves.” Another commenter pointed out the adorableness of Eloise: “She’s Purrfect.”

Over the years, Stern has fostered around 600 cats, according to Us Weekly. Currently, the animal activist cares for 15 cats — 10 rescues that they’re housing temporarily and five residents.

Stern fosters kittens at their New York City apartment and their Long Island home. She nurses them, fixes them, and helps to provide medical attention when needed.

The animal rights activist uses social media to help find her foster cats permanent homes, and with all those followers, she almost always finds the right fit for each cat.
