We all scream for ice cream — but which Fall River-area shop is your favorite? Take our poll

A double scoop of ice cream at Simcock Farm in Swansea.

When we've reached our melting point amid the dog days of summer, there is no sweet treat more tempting to help cool us off than ice cream.

Whether you're into classic cones or waffle bowls, hard or soft ice cream, traditional flavors or unusual creations, Greater Fall River has you covered.

There are plenty of places to turn for a tasty frozen dessert, each unique in their own way.

And it's not just the ice cream that draws folks far and wide to some of these popular spots, it's the ambiance or the smell of freshly made cones wafting through the door.

In honor of National Ice Cream Day coming up on Sunday, July 21, we want the scoop on your local ice cream go-to.

It's a hard decision to pick a favorite, but that's what we're asking you to do.

We've narrowed the field down to 10 choices of SouthCoast ice cream destinations, and you can cast your vote by clicking on the poll below.

Voting begins today and will end at 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, July 16.
