Taftville Dairy Queen celebrated its 55th anniversary Tuesday. Anyone who was lucky enough to attend during the two-hour celebration received a free ice cream cone and could buy a 55-cent hot dog.

The celebration was also paired with WICH 1310 AM personality Stu Breyer's broadcast from the DQ. People hanging out participated in the raffles and looked at some of the vintage cars brought to the event.

The Taftville Dairy Queen proudly displays plaques from the corporate office for 40, 45, and 50 years in business. The store will get its 55th anniversary plaque in October, Manager Crystal Devost told The Bulletin.
