From Sean Penn to Jon Bon Jovi, Emmy nominees reveal their first celebrity crushes
Why doesn’t Padma Lakshmi have a crush on Sean Penn anymore? We got to the bottom of that, and so much more, on the 69th Primetime Emmys red carpet.
Everywhere you looked on the carpet, you were bound to see a big star who undoubtedly tops many fans’ celebrity crush list. So when we had the chance to talk with TV royalty like Billy Eichner and This Is Us star Chris Sullivan, we found out who their first-ever celebrity crushes were.
“Scully, from The X-Files. Gillian Anderson,” Sullivan said.
Eichner, who was quick to respond, admitted that a certain rock singer stole his heart from a young age.
“Bon Jovi,” Eichner said. “I named my cat Jovi as a kid because I loved Jon Bon Jovi — what an honor.”
Deon Cole from Black-ish was a big Linda Carter fan from her days as the original Wonder Woman, and Modern Family star Nolan Gould admitted to crushing on Emma Stone. While Gould didn’t have the guts to profess his love for Stone when he later met her at an event, he is pretty sure she could see it in his face.
“I think it was just obvious,” Gould said.
Lakshmi, of Top Chef fame, said she always liked the bad boys, which is why Sean Penn was her first celebrity crush. Now? Not so much.
“I know him now — I don’t have a crush on him anymore.”
